This session was bound to be amazing from the start. Greg contacted me saying he wanted some help surprising his girlfriend. She wanted maternity photos taken and they were making a trip back to his home - Maine. He wanted the photos by the water... fantastic. I could handle all of that. Then he said he wanted to surprise her by proposing during the shoot! I was nervous for him. I was so excited I could hardly keep my cool when I saw them.

I am SO excited to have a new website up and running!

It's been an uphill battle for me to find something that really fits me... but here it is. I love this. Let me know what you think :-)

Liz Donnelly is a dear friend of mine, and has taught me a lot about photography. She pushed me to use Manual mode many years ago. I was beyond flattered when she asked me to shoot her engagement photos. Here are some from Liz and Bobby's engagement session.

* These two were such fun to shoot! Courtney was a natural, and they loved being on the beach. It was a pleasure to capture these moments with them. I love Fort Williams and will go back here time and time again for Engagement sessions. What a great backdrop!

I call this, "clean up". If you don't know how to use the clone stamp/healing brush in PS, I suggest you learn how ASAP. It's amazing how much you can do with them. Here, I clean up the yard, without lifting a finger. :-)

It was an overcast day, but the weather was great. The lighting threw me for a loop, but thanks to a little editing, I recovered. See below how I saved the photo. There are additional edits I will make to this before finalizing it, but the benefits of shooting in RAW format are numerous. Saving the white balance and lighting (without much grain or noise) are two of the huge benefits!
